South Island Kei Trucks ("we", "us", "our") facilitates the import of Japanese kei-class vehicles to Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. By placing an order through our website you agree to these Terms of Service.
All orders require full payment at the time of checkout. Payment is processed securely through Stripe in Canadian Dollars (CAD). By completing checkout you authorize the full charge shown on the order summary.
The quoted price includes the vehicle purchase price, export fees, ocean freight, Canadian customs duties, compliance inspection, and delivery to the South Island. It does not include provincial sales tax (PST), insurance, or optional add-ons unless explicitly stated.
Refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 10 business days of approval.
Typical timelines from payment to delivery are approximately 3-5 months. This estimate can vary due to auction availability, shipping schedules, port congestion, customs processing, and weather. We will keep you updated via your tracking page but cannot guarantee exact delivery dates.
All vehicles are used, imported as-is from Japanese auctions or dealers. While we provide auction sheet translations and condition notes where available, these are informational and not a warranty. We recommend a post-arrival inspection before registration.
South Island Kei Trucks does not provide any express or implied warranty on imported vehicles, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
We ensure all imported vehicles meet the 15-year import rule required by Transport Canada and pass a Canadian compliance inspection. Registration, insurance, and any provincial inspection requirements are the buyer's responsibility after handoff.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, South Island Kei Trucks' total liability for any claim arising from or related to an order shall not exceed the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
We collect your name, email, and location to process orders and communicate updates. Payment information is handled directly by Stripe and never stored on our servers. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties except as required to fulfill your order (e.g., shipping providers, customs brokers).
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
